BOXWOOD CANADA FESTIVAL & WORKSHOP 2008 - Work Study Registration Lunenburg, Nova Scotia July 21-27, 2008 Full registration for the 2008 Boxwood Canada Festival & Workshop includes classes, public programs, activities, and 12 meals; Saturday July 19 - Friday July 25. Lodging is not included; please visit our website or contact us for information about B&Bs, billeting with local hosts, or camping.
The work study option for the Boxwood Festival reduces the overall fee for tuition to a total of $375 CAD inclusive of all meals, classes and activities. Work study students commit to roughly 20 hours of duty during the week assisting with box office and set-up duties at our public events and in preparation of the dining room and kitchen duty following meals. Working on a rotational schedule, students will likely miss parts of some classes, but rarely the same class twice during the week. Scheduling may be negotiated at the beginning of the week if the student is to miss something that is of particular interest in the classes.
Work study participants MUST be present at 12 noon on Sunday July 20 at the Lunenburg Fire Hall for an orientation & scheduling meeting and to commence work. Please make your travel plans accordingly - later arrivals (except in the case of travel delays) will not be eligible for the Work Study Program. Those who can arrive on or before Saturday July 19 to help with the opening dinner will miss less class time and have a lighter schedule during the week of classes. For further information contact us by e.mail.
Registration for Boxwood 2008 is limited and is filled on a first come first serve basis upon full payment of tuition. Places cannot be held with a deposit. No Refunds will be made after June 15, 2008. Refund requests made on or before June 15, 2008 will receive a refund within 30 days of receipt of the full amount paid minus a $50 administrative charge. There are no refunds for work study participants after May 1, 2008. Cancellations prior to this time will be subject to the above mentioned $50 administrative charge.
